these look unreal, they taste unreal, but rest assured people. THEY ARE REAL. these matcha beauty balls are ON ANOTHER LEVEL. they're super simple to make if you have a high speed blender or food processor and the ingredients are super simple and clean. I call them "beauty" balls because they're made with superfood Sacha Inchi powder. In my latest "what I'm loving" blog post I posted all about my obsession with this powder. it's super high in protein, Omega 3, 6 and 9, Vitamin A and fiber. I noticed about 1 week after taking 1-2 tablespoons a day that my skin was shiny and soft. my nails were growing like crazy and they felt super strong and smooth. my hair was also growing like crazy. if you're looking for an all around superfood powder, this ones for you.
I use the brand OMG Superfoods - omgsuperfoods.com/
I love this brand because they get their superfoods straight from the source, they're 100% organic and don't use any additives or fillers.
I also used OMG Superfoods green tea matcha powder for these balls, another favorite of mine when I get tired of having coffee and want to change things up a bit. here's how to make these babies..
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 1/2 cup pitted dates (bulk section @ Whole Foods)
- 1 cup raw organic walnuts (bulk section @ Whole Foods)
- 1TBSP green tea matcha powder
- 2TBSP sacha inchi powder
- 1TBSP Divine Organics maca powder (optional superfood boost)
- 2TBSP organic Maranatha smooth almond butter
- 3TBSP organic Arrowhead Mills coconut flour
- 3TBSP desiccated unsweetened coconut
- Divine Organics cacao nibs, Navitas Organics chia seeds and Navitas Organics cacao powder for decorating
combine dates, walnuts, coconut flour and coconut into food processor. blend until evenly combined, you may need to stop it and scrape down the sides every so often. once combined add the matcha, sacha inchi, and almond butter then blend again. next scoop out about 1 1/2 tablespoons of mixture and roll into balls with your hands. repeat until your out of mixture then its time to decorate. I chose to decorate my balllllz with cacao nibs, chia seeds and cacao powder but get creative and decorate with whatever you like! I just poured each superfood onto seperate plates and rolled the balls into them. store in the fridge for up to 1 week! these are excellent on the go and pre-workout snacks, in yogurt or on smoothie bowls.
ENJOY BABES, xo.
