calling all chocolate lovers! you'll get one bite of these and you'll want to make sure you ALWAYS have a stash in your freezer. they're so fricken good. it was super difficult to not eat all of the batter as I was creating these bad boys, so here's the simple recipe, try your best to have self control!
INGREDIENTS:
brownies-
1 cup raw walnuts
1/3 cup pitted dates
1/4 cup raw pumpkin seeds
2 heaping tablespoons roasted coconut butter (the brand I use- Eating Evolved use my code LISATMT for a free gift with any purchase!)
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 scoop raw cacao protein powder (the brand I use- LivWell Nutrtion use my code for 10% off BALANCEDBYLISA10)
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1 tsp pink salt
icing-
2 tablespoons coconut oil
2 tablespoons roasted coconut butter
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1 teaspoon maple syrup
RECIPE:
in a food processor combine walnuts, dates and pumpkin seeds until a crubmly texture forms. next add in the rest of the ingredients and process until a "dough" forms. using a rubber spatula spread dough into a parchment paper lined brownie pan. set in the freezer for at least 20 minutes while you make chocolate icing layer. to make icing simply combine all ingredients in a sauce pan over a low-medium flame. once completely melted, pour over dough and set in the freezer for 2 hours. slice into squares and enjoy! store in the freezer, if you have any leftovers ;)
