If you didn't already know Whole Foods Market is the best place on earth, but it just got even better. Well.. at least my local WFM did! They created something called a "butcher bundle" which is basically just an amazing bundle of organic, grass fed, local chicken and meat and get this, it SAVES YOU MONEY. You can save up to $30 dollars when you decide to purchase this bundle. It's just the perfect addition to your summer BBQ shopping list. You can even call ahead and the butchers will have it ready for you to be picked up when you get there!
They give you three options to choose from
anywho, on to this salad..
INGREDIENTS:
boil water in a small sauce pan and put whole sausage link in boiling water for at least 5 minutes to firm it. remove from water, let cool and then slice into thin coin size pieces. heat a cast iron skillet with coconut oil and saute sausage and fig slices until it gets crispy on both sides and figs are caramelized. once sausage and figs are done cooking remove the skillet from heat and add the kale to skillet. cover for two minutes then stir and cover again for two more minutes. this gets the kale soft and flavors it with the cooking oils. now we're ready to plate! get a medium bowl, fill it with kale then add sausage figs and all the toppings! I chose avocado, sprouts, feta and chili flakes! this sausage is the best tasting sausage I've had and it did not even need seasoning. it was super flavorful and fresh, like everything you get at Whole Foods ;)
I hope you enjoy this recipe babes, xo!
