hey babes! so a bunch of you have been telling me you're SO BORED with the same old chicken recipes and to be honest I've been bored of my own chicken recipes as of late. so I decided to get creative. my favorite brand of coconut oil Carrington Farms sent me a bunch of delicious flavored coconut cooking oils and one of them happens to be sriracha flavored! yep, it is what dreams are made of if that's what you were thinking. so I made these sweet and spicy chicken thighs and they were I N S A N E. like, you must make them. I feel like the recipe would even be great on seafood and as a stir fry sauce so get creative and you DO NOT have to eat meat to enjoy this, it will taste great with ANYTHING.
what you need:
recipe:
heat (medium flame) a cast iron skillet or pan with oil and let oil heat up for at least 2 minutes. begin to coat your chicken (both sides) with the dry rub of seasonings. once chicken is coated add to hot skillet and cook for 3 minutes on each side. once you've cooked both sides drizzle the honey onto chicken and flip over then cook for another 3-5 minutes depending on how crispy you like it. the honey creates an amazing glaze on top of the chicken and takes the flavor from 0-100 REAL quick. and that's it! you're done, easiest tastiest dish you've made in a long time.
I ate my chicken on top of a warm kale salad and it was legit restaurant worthy, I hope you enjoy! and tag me on Instagram @balancedbylisa or #balancedbylisa if you recreate this recipe at home, xoxo.
